Introduction

Exam Type and Pattern
Quantitative Aptitude (Mathematics)
At present time in SSC CGL exam you to face Quantitative Aptitude (Mathematics) in two stages
- Tier 1: Objective Type question of 1 marks each (50 question) Total 50 marks with negative marking of 1/4th each.
- Tier 2: Objective Type question of 2 marks each (100 question) Total 200 marks negative marking of 1/4th each.
General English
At present time in SSC CGL exam you to face General English in two stages
- Tier 1: Objective Type question of 1 marks each (50 question) Total 50 marks with negative marking of 1/4th each.
- Tier 2: Objective Type question of 1 marks each (200 question) Total 200 marks with negative marking of 1/4th each.
Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning
This is easier part of exam in which questions are based on general Intelligence, you have to face it only in tier 1 only.
- Tier 1: Objective Type question of 1 marks each (50 question) Total 50 marks with negative marking of 1/3rd each.
General Awareness
For this part, you have to face it only in tier 1 only.
- Tier 1: Objective Type question of 1 marks each (50 question) Total 50 marks with negative marking of 1/3rd each.

Tier 3
(Interview-cum-Personality Test)
Candidates whose qualifies Tier 1 and Tier 2 are eligible for Tier 3 (Interview Post). It is will carry maximum of 100 marks.
Tier 3
(Skill Test)
This test is for those candidates who apply for post of TAX ASSISTANTS. Candidate must have Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) at 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depression per hour on Computer.
Tier 3A
(Computer Proficiency Test)
Candidates whose qualifies Tier 1 and Tier 2 are eligible for Tier 3 (Interview Post).It comprising of three modules- Word Processing , Spread Sheet and Generation of Slides, for applicant for the post Assistants of CSS.
